Savoury French Toast

  • Beat ½ cup (125ml) chilled Nestlé Dessert Cream, ¼ cup (60 ml) firm cream cheese and 1 tsp (5 ml) castor sugar together.
  • Fold the juice and zest of 1 lemon into the cream mixture and grind in some black pepper to taste.
  • Whisk 3 large eggs and ¼ cup (60 ml) Nestlé IDEAL Evaporated Milk together.
  • Cut 4 large slices of a French baguette and soak in the egg mixture for 1 min.
  • Fry in a non-stick pan with a little olive oil until golden brown.
  • Assemble by topping each slice of French toast with slivers of smoked salmon, a dollop of the cream cheese mixture and rocket.
